Coastal waters forecast area : Lancelin coastal waters forecast

Cervantes is a great place to get on the water.  It's fantastic for Windsurfing, Kitesurfing, Wingfoiling and SUP. From beginner to advanced.

Situated two and a half hours north of Perth, a great place to stay a couple of days or weeks. The wind blows most of the time in summer (October through March)

It's a nice town, great people and a good pub with good food.  It is the only place on the mid west coast where it is safe to sail on the morning Easterly and also great on the 20 Knot plus afternoon seabreezes.

The water is nice and clean, you can park and rig on the beach, and the walk with your gear is only about ten feet to the water.   It is the place for intermediates to learn waterstart. A week in Cervantes and you will be nailing your waterstarts all the time.   Also great to learn how to gybe. An all round great place to get your skill level up for the Summer.

The water at Thirsty Point is about six feet deep for about one mile out and it's clear.   Most women love it because of the clean water.

It works on a Easterly, Southerly, Westerly and Northerly.   If you are anywhere on the mid west coast in Summer and there is no wind head for Cervantes is usually blowing it tits off. On the odd day there is no wind it is a great place to swim.  The only drawback is no waves but great chop hopping and great slalom conditions. There is a island off the coast you can sail to.   Take your friends and get them into the sport, it's the perfect place.  You do get thirsty after six hours of sailing on a good day (that is a normal summer day, between October and March) so see you at the Pub!
